Lift registration and annual inspection

Registration of new lifts; the periodic inspection that lifts must undergo at least once a year.

Time: You will be informed about your application within 30 days at the latest (Law No. 3071, Art. 7).
Fee: Lift registration: goods and passenger lift 4.000 ₺ · escalator 4.500 ₺ (2026 fee schedule, VAT included)

Who can apply

For registration, the company that installs the lift; for the periodic inspection, the person responsible for the building (the building manager or the owner).

How it works

The company that installs the lift applies to the Municipality for registration within 60 days.
The periodic inspection is carried out at least once a year by the Type A inspection body with which the Municipality has a protocol; having the inspection carried out is the obligation of the person responsible for the building.
