How it works
- For deaths in a health facility, the death certificate is issued by that institution; for deaths at home and in similar places, by the municipal physician or, if there is none, by a community health centre doctor or a family doctor.
- Call the Municipality’s switchboard or the Sanitation Directorate to arrange the washing, transport and burial of the deceased.
Good to know
- Death announcements are made over the public-address system in the neighbourhoods and by SMS.
- The establishment and operation of cemeteries, and the transfer of the deceased within and outside the province, are the responsibility of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality: 0252 214 14 06.
