Excavation permit and surface damage charge

A permit for those who will carry out infrastructure excavation on roads and pavements for which our Municipality is responsible.

Time
You will be informed about your application within 30 days at the latest (Law No. 3071, Art. 7).
Fee
The surface damage charge is calculated according to AYKOME’s unit prices for 2026.

Who can apply

Institutions, contractors and building owners who will dig up a road, a pavement or a green space for an infrastructure connection or repair.

Required documents

  • Written request (dilekçe) stating the location, length, width and duration of the excavation
  • A sketch showing the route of the excavation

How it works

  1. Find out who is responsible for the road to be excavated: for main roads and Metropolitan Municipality roads, the permit is obtained from Muğla Metropolitan Municipality’s AYKOME.
  2. For roads for which our Municipality is responsible, apply to the Public Works Directorate.
  3. The permit is issued once the surface damage charge (zemin tahrip bedeli) has been paid.
