Who can apply

Anyone.

Required documents

  • Written request (dilekçe) giving your name, surname, signature and work or home address

How it works

  1. In writing: hand in your written request at the Registry Directorate (Yazı İşleri) or send it by post.
  2. By e-mail or through the contact form on this site: your request is forwarded to the relevant department.
  3. Applications made through CİMER or Açık Kapı also reach the Municipality and are answered within the same time limit.
  4. For matters that concern the municipal police (occupation of public space, street vendors, noise, environmental pollution, unlicensed businesses), call the Municipal Police Directorate (Zabıta) directly: +90 (252) 242 30 08, ext. 153.

Good to know

  • If your application falls outside the Municipality’s remit, it is sent to the competent authority and you are informed (Art. 5).
  • Written requests that have no specific subject, or that lack a name, surname, signature and address, cannot be examined (Art. 6).
  • If no reply is given within thirty days, the request is deemed to have been refused (Law No. 2577, Art. 10).
  • An objection to an administrative fine issued by the municipal police can be lodged with the criminal judgeship of peace within 15 days of notification; if the fine is paid within one month, a 25 per cent reduction applies (Law No. 5326, Arts. 17, 27).
